
Why Major Allergen Friendly?
At San Diego Saucery, we believe everyone deserves to enjoy bold, delicious flavor without fear. That’s why all of our products are crafted to be free from the top nine major food allergens: soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, shellfish, fish, and sesame.
Food allergies are more common than most people realize. In the U.S., over 33 million people live with at least one food allergy. Many more avoid allergens due to health conditions, intolerances, or personal preferences. But if you’ve ever tried to find a tasty, safe condiment that fits those needs, you know it is not easy.
Many sauces and condiments rely on soy sauce, dairy-based thickeners, or nut oils, making them off-limits for a large portion of the population. We knew there had to be a better way. So we reimagined the classics, starting with Selene’s Teriyaki Sauce, using naturally flavorful, allergy-conscious ingredients like coconut aminos, pineapple juice, and fresh garlic and ginger.
By going major-allergen-friendly, we aim to make food more inclusive. You can cook for yourself, your family, or your community without worrying about who has to miss out. Food should bring people together. It should not leave anyone behind.
